PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, PAMEKASAN – Seorang warga asal Madura, SM (42), ditemukan meninggal dunia di gurun pasir Arab Saudi saat hendak menunaikan ibadah haji secara ilegal. Jenazah warga Desa Blumbungan, Kecamatan Larangan, Kabupaten Pamekasan itu hingga kini masih berada di rumah sakit Arab Saudi, menunggu proses visum sebelum dipulangkan ke tanah air.
Namun, proses pemulangan jenazah terkendala biaya yang cukup besar. Menurut Junaidi, tokoh masyarakat setempat sekaligus mantan Kepala Desa Blumbungan, pihak otoritas Arab Saudi mematok biaya sekitar 12 ribu riyal atau sekitar Rp 52 juta untuk pemulangan, ditambah biaya peti mati dan tiket pesawat senilai Rp 15 juta. Total dana yang dibutuhkan mencapai Rp 67 juta.
“Keluarga tidak mampu, apalagi almarhum meninggalkan dua anak yang masih kecil dan utang sebesar Rp 250 juta,” ungkap Junaidi pada Rabu (4/6/2025).
Rencana pemulangan jenazah dijadwalkan setelah Hari Raya Idul Adha. Namun, jika dalam waktu yang ditentukan biaya belum juga terkumpul, jenazah terpaksa akan dimakamkan di Arab Saudi, tepatnya di luar kawasan Tanah Haram Makkah maupun Madinah.
Keluarga besar almarhum berharap ada uluran tangan dari para dermawan, pemerintah, ataupun pihak travel yang memberangkatkan SM, agar jenazah bisa dipulangkan dan dimakamkan di kampung halaman.
