PUBLIKAINDONESIA, BANJAR,– Wakil Bupati Banjar, Habib Idrus Al Habsyi, menekankan pentingnya menjaga dan meningkatkan potensi Desa Lok Tangga sebagai lumbung padi daerah. Hal ini disampaikan saat menghadiri panen raya padi serentak di Desa Lok Tangga, Kecamatan Karang Intan, Senin (7/4/2025).
Ia menyebut, Pemkab Banjar terus berkomitmen mendukung petani melalui peningkatan infrastruktur, bantuan alat dan mesin pertanian, bibit unggul, serta pelatihan SDM petani.
“Tantangan ke depan adalah perubahan iklim, keterbatasan lahan, lambatnya regenerasi petani, hingga fluktuasi harga. Kita harus mulai beralih ke sistem pertanian modern, efisien, dan berkelanjutan,” ujar Habib Idrus.
Wabup juga mengapresiasi peran penyuluh, Gapoktan, dan perangkat desa dalam mendampingi petani sejak tanam hingga panen. Ia berharap panen raya tidak sekadar seremoni, tapi menjadi momentum memperkuat ketahanan pangan lokal.
Kepala Dinas Pertanian Banjar, Warsita, menambahkan, panen raya kali ini mencakup 50 hektare lahan di Desa Lok Tangga. Padi yang ditanam adalah varietas Inpari 42 yang tahan kekeringan dan cocok untuk kondisi iklim saat ini.
Target luas tanam tahun ini mencapai 58.932 hektare, dengan LBS 51.415 hektare. Total produksi gabah sementara mencapai 147.493 ton, dengan produktivitas rata-rata 3,62 ton per hektare.
“Masih ada peluang meningkatkan luas tanam dengan pengelolaan lahan efisien dan percepatan masa tanam,” ucap Warsita.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Wabup Banjar juga menyerahkan bantuan alat pertanian kepada Kelompok Tani Usaha Baru. Kegiatan dimeriahkan dengan pembagian doorprize dan digelar serentak di 14 provinsi bersama Presiden Prabowo Subianto secara virtual.(FA)
