PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, TANAH BUMBU – Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan (Dislutkan Kalsel) kembali menunjukkan komitmennya dalam menjaga kelestarian ekosistem laut. Selama tiga hari, dari 7 hingga 9 Juli 2025, Dislutkan Kalsel melakukan penenggelaman 50 modul Rumah Ikan (Fish Apartment) di wilayah perairan Desa Setarap, Kecamatan Satui, Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu.
Program ini merupakan bagian dari strategi pemulihan sumber daya ikan akibat kerusakan habitat laut, terutama terumbu karang yang selama ini mengalami degradasi karena praktik penangkapan ikan yang tidak ramah lingkungan.
Rumah Ikan, Solusi Pemulihan Habitat Laut
Kepala Dislutkan Kalsel, Rusdi Hartono, menjelaskan bahwa rumah ikan yang ditenggelamkan menggunakan material polypropylene yang ramah lingkungan, dengan struktur bersekat dan bercelah sebagai tempat ideal bagi telur, larva, dan ikan kecil berkembang.
“Rumah Ikan ini mampu menciptakan mikrohabitat baru yang aman bagi ikan, dan terbukti secara ilmiah mampu memperbaiki ekosistem yang rusak,” ujar Rusdi, Kamis (10/7/2025).
Penenggelaman dilakukan di empat titik koordinat dengan kedalaman sekitar 7 meter, yakni:
Titik 1: 3°48’40.3”S 115°32’54.6”E
Titik 2: 3°48’42.0”S 115°32’51.3”E
Titik 3: 3°48’45.0”S 115°32’51.5”E
Titik 4: 3°48’43.3”S 115°32’54.9”E
Rusdi menambahkan bahwa dengan radius tangkap sekitar 100–200 meter dari lokasi rumah ikan, nelayan akan lebih mudah dan efisien dalam menangkap ikan tanpa harus melaut terlalu jauh.
Dampak Ekonomi dan Lingkungan
Program rumah ikan ini tidak hanya ditujukan untuk memulihkan populasi ikan, tetapi juga mendorong tumbuhnya ekonomi baru di wilayah pesisir melalui perikanan berkelanjutan dan potensi wisata bahari.
“Dari berbagai lokasi sebelumnya, kami sudah melihat peningkatan jumlah tangkapan, bertambahnya jenis ikan, dan bahkan munculnya kegiatan wisata lokal,” jelasnya.
Dengan ketahanan fisik mencapai 30 hingga 50 tahun, modul-modul rumah ikan ini diharapkan menjadi investasi jangka panjang bagi keberlanjutan laut di Kalimantan Selatan.
Harapan untuk Generasi Mendatang
Rusdi Hartono menutup pernyataannya dengan menegaskan bahwa pelestarian laut bukan hanya tanggung jawab pemerintah, melainkan warisan untuk masa depan.
“Kita ingin perairan kita tetap lestari, masyarakat pesisir sejahtera, dan anak cucu kita masih bisa menikmati kekayaan laut Kalimantan Selatan di masa depan,” pungkasnya.
