PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, GAZA – Sedikitnya 26 warga Palestina tewas dan lebih dari 80 lainnya luka-luka setelah pasukan Israel menembaki kerumunan warga sipil di dekat pusat distribusi bantuan makanan di Rafah, Gaza Selatan, Minggu (1/6/2025) waktu setempat. Insiden ini terjadi di lokasi yang dioperasikan oleh lembaga swasta kontroversial yang didukung Amerika Serikat dan Israel, Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
Menurut keterangan dari Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) dan Kompleks Medis Nasser di Khan Younis, para korban saat itu tengah mengantre untuk menerima bantuan makanan ketika tembakan dilepaskan oleh pasukan Israel. Seorang paramedis PRCS yang berada di lokasi menyebut bahwa tidak ada tenaga medis lain di sekitar area pada saat kejadian.
“Kerumunan warga datang untuk menerima bantuan makanan ketika pasukan Israel melepaskan tembakan,” ujar paramedis tersebut.
Pihak rumah sakit di Khan Younis mengonfirmasi jumlah korban tewas sebanyak 26 orang dan puluhan lainnya mengalami luka-luka, beberapa dalam kondisi kritis.
Kontroversi Lembaga Bantuan GHF
GHF, lembaga yang mengelola lokasi distribusi bantuan tersebut, merupakan organisasi swasta yang didukung oleh Israel dan Amerika Serikat. Lembaga ini dibentuk sebagai tanggapan atas tuduhan dari Israel bahwa Hamas mencuri bantuan kemanusiaan dan menjualnya untuk keuntungan pribadi klaim yang hingga kini belum didukung bukti konkret menurut organisasi kemanusiaan internasional.
Badan-badan PBB termasuk UNRWA telah mengkritik mekanisme distribusi GHF karena dianggap melanggar prinsip-prinsip kemanusiaan dan meningkatkan risiko keselamatan warga Palestina. Tidak seperti UNRWA yang memverifikasi identitas penerima bantuan melalui basis data resmi, GHF tidak melakukan proses penyaringan di lapangan.
Kritik terhadap Israel dan GHF meningkat setelah insiden kericuhan pekan lalu, ketika puluhan ribu warga kelaparan memadati dua pusat distribusi bantuan baru. Menurut data Kementerian Kesehatan Palestina sebelum insiden Minggu, sedikitnya 11 orang telah tewas dan puluhan luka-luka sejak lokasi distribusi dibuka. Namun, GHF membantah klaim ini, menyatakan tidak ada korban sejak bantuan disalurkan.
Pernyataan Resmi GHF dan Tuduhan “Rekayasa Informasi”
Dalam pernyataan terbaru, GHF mengklaim bahwa bantuan yang disalurkan pada Minggu berlangsung “tanpa insiden” dan bahwa laporan tentang kematian dan kekacauan adalah “rekayasa dan tidak benar.” Mereka juga menuduh Hamas menyebarkan rumor terkait jumlah korban.
GHF menyebut telah menyalurkan lebih dari 4,7 juta porsi makanan dalam enam hari, termasuk 16 truk bantuan yang masuk ke Gaza pada Minggu pagi. Mereka menyatakan akan terus memperluas operasi, termasuk membangun pusat distribusi tambahan di wilayah utara Gaza.
