PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, KOTABARU – Dua pria di Kotabaru diamankan polisi setelah mencuri sepeda motor milik warga. Aksi nekat keduanya tak hanya berhenti di situ, mereka juga menemukan dompet berisi perhiasan emas di jok motor hasil curiannya. Uang dari penjualan emas itu mereka habiskan untuk membeli minuman keras dan kebutuhan pribadi.
Kejadian bermula pada Minggu, 31 Agustus 2025 sekitar pukul 11.30 Wita di Jalan Salokayang, Desa Semayap, Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara. Pelaku MS (32) dan AH (48), yang saat itu dalam pengaruh minuman keras, mencari motor yang tidak terkunci stang untuk dicuri.
“Kami temukan motor terparkir tanpa kunci stang. Mereka dorong motor itu sampai rumah pelaku MS, lalu membuka jok motor dan menemukan dompet berisi emas,” jelas petugas dari Polres Kotabaru.
Setelah berhasil menjual emas itu seharga Rp1,2 juta, uangnya langsung habis untuk beli minuman keras. Sepeda motor curian disembunyikan tak jauh dari rumah pelaku.
Polisi berhasil menangkap kedua pelaku setelah mendapat informasi dari masyarakat. MS dan AH akhirnya mengakui perbuatannya dalam pemeriksaan.
“Motif pelaku MS karena kesulitan ekonomi dan tidak bekerja, sementara pelaku AH ikut karena diajak dan butuh uang,” tambah polisi.
Kedua pelaku kini dijerat Pasal 363 ayat (1) ke-3 dan ke-4 KUHP tentang pencurian dengan pemberatan, dengan ancaman hukuman hingga tujuh tahun penjara.
