PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, BANJARBARU – Suasana mencekam terjadi di Jalan Kong, RT 009 RW 003, Kelurahan Landasan Ulin Selatan, Kecamatan Liang Anggang, Kamis (4/9/2025) dini hari.
Kobaran api melalap sebuah warung hingga menghanguskan hampir seluruh isinya. Tragisnya, seorang bocah berusia 8 tahun berinisial M meregang nyawa setelah terjebak di dalam bangunan yang terbakar.
Kepala Kepolisian Resor (Kapolres) Banjarbaru, AKBP Pius X Febry Aceng Loda, melalui Kasi Humas Ipda Kardi Gunadi, mengungkapkan kebakaran itu terjadi sekitar pukul 01.35 Wita.
Dua warga setempat, Dodi dan Syamsul, sempat mendengar teriakan minta tolong dari arah warung. Mereka berusaha menolong, namun api yang sudah membesar membuat upaya itu sia-sia.
“Saksi berusaha menolong korban, namun api sudah terlalu besar,” ungkap Ipda Kardi.
Sekitar pukul 02.00 Wita, warga akhirnya berhasil memadamkan api, tetapi warung sudah rata dengan tanah. Sejumlah barang dagangan, termasuk sepeda motor Honda Beat, sepeda listrik, kulkas, hingga perlengkapan jualan hangus terbakar. Kerugian ditaksir mencapai Rp30 juta.
Penyebab Kebakaran: Charger Handphone
Hasil olah Tempat Kejadian Perkara (TKP) yang dilakukan tim Inafis mengungkap adanya dugaan kuat penyebab kebakaran. Api dipicu dari charger handphone yang mengalami panas berlebih (overheating) karena dibiarkan terus menancap di stop kontak.
“Overheating pada charger memicu percikan api hingga korsleting. Dari situlah api membesar dan membakar seluruh bangunan,” jelas Ipda Kardi.
Musibah ini menyisakan duka mendalam bagi keluarga korban sekaligus peringatan keras bagi masyarakat akan bahaya sepele yang kerap diabaikan.
