PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, MARTAPURA – Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Banjar menggelar kegiatan sosialisasi pemulihan pasca bencana di Aula Posyandu Desa Keliling Benteng Ulu, Kecamatan Martapura Barat, Rabu (18/6/2025). Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 50 warga setempat yang tampak antusias menyimak materi yang disampaikan.
Plt Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Banjar, Yayan Daryanto melalui Plt Sekretaris BPBD, Azhar Alamsyah, menyampaikan bahwa sosialisasi ini merupakan bentuk edukasi penting bagi masyarakat, khususnya dalam membangun pemahaman terkait langkah-langkah pemulihan sosial pasca bencana.
“Sebagaimana kita ketahui bersama, Desa Keliling Benteng Ulu merupakan salah satu daerah yang cukup sering terdampak bencana, terutama banjir dan kebakaran lahan,” ujarnya.
Azhar menekankan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap segala jenis bencana, baik yang disebabkan oleh alam maupun ulah manusia. Ia berharap kegiatan ini dapat menjadi bekal masyarakat dalam menghadapi situasi pasca bencana secara lebih tangguh dan terorganisir.
“Bencana bisa terjadi kapan saja, oleh karena itu kita tidak boleh lengah. Masyarakat harus dibekali pengetahuan tentang penanganan dan pemulihan setelah bencana,” tegasnya.
Kabupaten Banjar sendiri dikenal sebagai wilayah yang memiliki kerentanan tinggi terhadap berbagai jenis bencana seperti banjir, banjir rob, angin puting beliung, tanah longsor, kebakaran lahan, hingga kekeringan. Tercatat, pada tahun 2021 banjir besar melanda sejumlah kecamatan, sementara pada tahun 2024 terjadi kebakaran hutan yang menyebabkan kabut asap.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Azhar juga mengingatkan bahwa penanggulangan bencana tidak hanya berhenti di tahap tanggap darurat. Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 24 Tahun 2007 tentang Penanggulangan Bencana, proses penanggulangan meliputi tiga tahapan penting: pra bencana (kesiapsiagaan), saat bencana (tanggap darurat), dan pasca bencana (pemulihan).
“Undang-Undang ini memberikan hak kepada setiap orang untuk mendapatkan pelatihan, penyuluhan, dan keterampilan dalam penanggulangan bencana, baik saat ada maupun tidak ada bencana,” jelasnya.
Melalui kegiatan ini, BPBD Banjar berharap masyarakat semakin siap dan sadar akan peran penting mereka dalam setiap tahap penanganan bencana, terutama di fase pemulihan yang kerap terabaikan.
