PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, KOTABARU-Seorang nelayan berinisial AG (60), warga Desa Sembilang, Kecamatan Kelumpang Tengah, Kabupaten Kotabaru, ditemukan tewas mengapung di perairan Selat Laut, Desa Sembilang, pada Rabu (16/10/2024) sekitar pukul 13.45 WITA.
Kapolres Kotabaru AKBP Doli M. Tanjung, S.I.K melalui Kapolsek Kelumpang Tengah AKP Shoqif Fabrian Yuwindayasa mengatakan, AG sebelumnya dilaporkan hilang setelah terakhir terlihat pergi memancing sendirian pada Selasa pagi (15/10) sekitar pukul 08.00 WITA.
Keluarga mulai khawatir karena AG tidak kunjung pulang hingga malam hari, sehingga pencarian dilakukan pada Rabu pagi.
“Dalam pencarian, warga menemukan beberapa barang milik korban, seperti jala dan box ikan, mengapung di perairan sekitar lokasi kejadian. Selain itu, gulungan tali pancing tersangkut di kayu terapung. Tidak jauh dari situ, warga menemukan jasad AG dalam posisi tertelungkup, mengenakan celana panjang tanpa baju,” jelas Shoqif.
Setelah ditemukan, jenazah AG segera dievakuasi dan dibawa ke rumah duka untuk diperiksa oleh petugas Puskesmas Tamiang Geronggang.
Polisi juga mengamankan barang bukti berupa satu buah box ikan berwarna putih, satu jala, dan gulungan tali pancing.
“Pihak keluarga menolak dilakukan autopsi dan menerima kejadian ini sebagai musibah. Kami sudah menjalankan prosedur, mulai dari menerima laporan, mendatangi lokasi kejadian, hingga mengevakuasi korban dan mengumpulkan barang bukti,” tambah Kapolsek.
Kapolres Kotabaru melalui AKP Shoqif juga mengimbau para nelayan untuk selalu mengutamakan keselamatan saat melaut.
“Pastikan tidak melaut sendirian, selalu periksa kondisi cuaca, pastikan peralatan lengkap, beri tahu keluarga, gunakan pelampung, dan bawa alat komunikasi untuk keadaan darurat,” tegasnya.
