PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, MARABAHAN – Langit Barito Kuala dipenuhi warna-warni layang-layang dalam Festival Kite atau Festival Layang-Layang 2025 yang digelar di Long Storage, Sabtu (23/8/2025). Acara ini diselenggarakan oleh Dinas Kepemudaan, Olahraga, Budaya, dan Pariwisata (Disporbudpar) Barito Kuala dan dibuka langsung oleh Bupati H. Bahrul Ilmi.
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati menyampaikan ucapan selamat datang kepada peserta yang datang dari berbagai daerah di Kalimantan Selatan. Ia berharap festival ini bukan hanya ajang hiburan, tetapi juga sarana mempererat silaturahmi, memupuk persaudaraan, serta menumbuhkan kreativitas masyarakat.
“Layang-layang adalah permainan rakyat tradisional lintas generasi, dari anak-anak hingga orang tua. Kini, permainan tersebut bisa dilombakan lewat festival, bahkan berpotensi menjadi daya tarik wisata,” ujarnya.
Bahrul Ilmi juga menekankan pentingnya melestarikan tradisi ini agar semakin dikenal masyarakat luas. Ia optimistis, melalui event seperti festival layang-layang, pariwisata Barito Kuala bisa berkembang hingga level nasional bahkan internasional.
Sebagai tanda dimulainya kegiatan, Bupati bersama Wakil Bupati dan Sekda turut menerbangkan layang-layang. Acara berlangsung meriah dan disambut antusias warga yang hadir.
Festival ini turut dihadiri Wakil Bupati Barito Kuala, Sekda, Forkopimda, Kadispora Kalsel, Kadispora Batola, sejumlah kepala SKPD, Ketua Kormi, Ketua Pelangi Provinsi dan Batola, serta Camat Marabahan.
