PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, BANJARBARU – Pemerintah Kota Banjarbaru terus menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan daerah. Dalam rangkaian program 100 Hari Kerja Wali Kota Banjarbaru, kegiatan Farm Field Day kembali digelar pada Selasa (5/8/2025), bertempat di kebun cabai dan jagung milik Kelompok Tani Kurnia Makmur, Kecamatan Landasan Ulin Utara.
Acara dibuka langsung oleh Wali Kota Banjarbaru, Hj. Erna Lisa Halaby, yang turut serta memanen hasil pertanian cabai dan jagung sebagai simbol keberhasilan petani lokal. Salah satu hasil panen yang menarik perhatian adalah cabai varietas lokal Tanjung, yang menghasilkan 472 kilogram dari lahan seluas 0,1 hektare setelah masa tanam 150 hari.
Dalam sambutannya, Wali Kota memberikan apresiasi tinggi kepada para petani yang telah bekerja keras mendukung ketahanan pangan Banjarbaru.
“Hari ini kembali saya ucapkan terima kasih dan apresiasi sebesar-besarnya kepada kelompok tani dan jajarannya. Ini adalah bentuk nyata upaya kita bersama dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan di Banjarbaru,” ujar Lisa Halaby usai melakukan panen.
Dukungan Penuh Pemerintah Kota untuk Kesejahteraan Petani
Wali Kota juga menegaskan pentingnya peran pemerintah dalam mendorong produktivitas dan kesejahteraan petani.
“Mudah-mudahan ke depannya kelompok-kelompok tani yang ada di Banjarbaru dapat semakin sejahtera. Pemerintah Kota Banjarbaru tentu akan terus memperhatikan, termasuk soal ketersediaan lahan yang dapat digarap,” tambahnya.
Selain panen raya, dalam kesempatan yang sama Wali Kota juga menyerahkan bantuan berupa bahan pangan serta sarana dan prasarana pertanian kepada kelompok tani di wilayah Landasan Ulin Utara.
Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu langkah konkret untuk memperkuat ketahanan pangan lokal dan meningkatkan semangat petani dalam mengelola lahan secara berkelanjutan.
