PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, JAKARTA – Bupati Tanah Bumbu, Andi Rudi Latif, melakukan kunjungan resmi ke Kementerian Perhubungan Republik Indonesia (Kemenhub RI) di Jakarta, Rabu (23/7). Dalam kunjungan tersebut, Bupati menyampaikan usulan penyediaan fasilitas keselamatan jalan di sejumlah titik rawan kecelakaan di wilayah Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu, Kalimantan Selatan.
Kedatangan Bupati disambut langsung oleh Menteri Perhubungan RI Dudy Purwagandhi, didampingi Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Darat Ahmad Yani beserta jajaran Kemenhub.
Usulan Berdasarkan Evaluasi dan Aspirasi Masyarakat
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Bupati Andi Rudi Latif menegaskan bahwa usulan ini didasarkan pada hasil evaluasi teknis serta laporan masyarakat, yang menunjukkan tingginya tingkat kerawanan kecelakaan di sejumlah ruas jalan, terutama di Jalan Bypass Batulicin–Banjarbaru dan jalur strategis lainnya.
“Fasilitas keselamatan jalan ini sangat penting. Banyak titik rawan kecelakaan di wilayah kami belum dilengkapi sarana yang memadai, seperti rambu, marka, APILL, hingga penerangan,” ujar Bupati Andi.
Jalan Strategis, Pertumbuhan Cepat, Risiko Tinggi
Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu merupakan daerah strategis di Kalimantan Selatan dengan pertumbuhan pesat di sektor pertambangan, industri, perkebunan, dan perdagangan. Pertumbuhan ini memicu peningkatan aktivitas transportasi, baik untuk pergerakan barang maupun mobilitas penduduk.
Jalan Bypass Batulicin–Banjarbaru menjadi salah satu jalur utama penghubung pusat ekonomi Tanah Bumbu dengan ibu kota provinsi. Namun, meningkatnya volume kendaraan di jalur ini tidak diiringi dengan infrastruktur keselamatan jalan yang memadai.
“Banyak titik rawan kecelakaan terdapat di kawasan permukiman, sekolah, pasar, serta persimpangan tanpa pengatur lalu lintas. Ini sangat membahayakan, terutama bagi pelajar, pejalan kaki, dan pengendara roda dua,” tambahnya.

Adapun jenis fasilitas keselamatan jalan yang diusulkan Pemkab Tanah Bumbu kepada Kemenhub meliputi:

Lampu Penerangan Jalan Umum (PJU)

Pagar pengaman jalan (guardrail)

Fasilitas keselamatan lainnya sesuai kebutuhan lapangan

Dengan adanya fasilitas tersebut, Bupati berharap dapat menurunkan angka kecelakaan dan meningkatkan kelancaran pergerakan logistik serta mobilitas masyarakat di wilayah Tanah Bumbu dan sekitarnya.
“Kami optimis, dukungan dari Kemenhub akan membawa dampak positif terhadap keselamatan dan kelancaran transportasi di Tanah Bumbu. Ini bagian dari komitmen kami menghadirkan pembangunan yang berkeadilan dan berkelanjutan,” pungkas Andi Rudi Latif.
