PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, JAKARTA – Ketua Umum PSSI, Erick Thohir, mengingatkan Timnas U-23 Indonesia untuk bersiap menghadapi laga berat dan penuh tekanan saat berjumpa Vietnam di final ASEAN Cup U-23 2025. Pertandingan bergengsi ini dijadwalkan berlangsung di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK), Jakarta, Selasa (29/7/2025) malam.
Lewat unggahan di akun Instagram pribadinya pada Senin (28/7/2025), Erick menegaskan bahwa pertandingan melawan Vietnam bukan sekadar soal taktik dan strategi, tapi juga soal mental dan ketangguhan fisik di lapangan.
“Ingat ini pertandingan yang keras. Jadi kita harus fokus selama 90 menit,” ujar Erick.
Final kali ini bukanlah pertemuan pertama antara kedua tim di partai puncak. Pada edisi 2023, Indonesia juga bersua Vietnam di laga final. Ketika itu, duel berlangsung sengit dan sarat tensi hingga akhirnya ditentukan lewat drama adu penalti. Garuda Muda harus mengakui keunggulan Vietnam dengan skor tipis 5-6.
Melihat sejarah tersebut, Erick menilai bahwa duel kali ini akan kembali berjalan ketat. Ia mendorong para pemain untuk tampil berani dan bermain keras, namun tetap dalam batas sportivitas.
“Di sini kita tuan rumah. Kita harus berani main keras. Tapi bukan buat mencederai ya,” tegas pria yang juga menjabat sebagai Menteri BUMN itu.
Erick juga mengingatkan bahwa Vietnam bukan lawan sembarangan. Mereka telah menunjukkan konsistensinya sebagai tim kuat di level Asia Tenggara.
“Mereka sudah tiga kali masuk final. Dua di antaranya juara,” tambahnya.

Perjalanan Timnas U-23 Indonesia menuju final ASEAN Cup tahun ini tidak mudah. Di babak semifinal, anak asuh pelatih Gerald Vanenburg harus menghadapi Thailand, salah satu tim unggulan turnamen.
Laga berlangsung ketat. Setelah bermain imbang 1-1 selama 120 menit, pemenang ditentukan melalui adu penalti. Dalam momen menegangkan itu, Indonesia akhirnya keluar sebagai pemenang dengan skor 7-6.
Kemenangan tersebut menjadi bukti ketangguhan mental dan konsistensi Timnas U-23 di bawah tekanan. Kini, dengan momentum positif dan dukungan penuh dari ribuan suporter di SUGBK, Garuda Muda siap menantang Vietnam demi meraih gelar juara di rumah sendiri.
