PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, BANJARMASIN–Wakil Menteri Perdagangan (Wamendag) RI, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri meninjau Pasar Pandu Kota Banjarmasin Kalimantan Selatan dan berinteraksi dengan pedagang, Senin (18/11/2024) pagi.
Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari kunjungan kerja Wamendag RI, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, sekaligus Pemberian Timbangan Pegas Elektronik kepada pedagang Pasar Pandu sebagai penerima Sertifikat Kesesuaian SNI Pasar Rakyat & Pasar Tertib Ukur.
Tiba di Pasar Pandu sekitar pukul 09.12 WITA, Wamendag Dyah Roro langsung meninjau sejumlah lapak pedagang, mengecek ketersediaan barang kebutuhan pokok (sembako) dan memantau harga.
Selain itu, Wamendag RI juga melakukan simulasi penimbangan bersama juru timbang untuk memastikan keakuratan alat ukur yang digunakan.
Sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas keberhasilan Pasar Pandu meraih Predikat Pasar Tertib Ukur dan telah memenuhi persyaratan Sertifikat Kesesuaian SNI Pasar Rakyat, Wamendag secara simbolis menyerahkan 50 unit timbangan pegas elektronik kepada para pedagang.
Penyerahan ini dilakukan untuk mendukung penuh upaya Pasar Pandu dalam menjaga kualitas dan keadilan dalam bertransaksi. Selain itu, sebagai pelengkap peralatan penimbangan, anak timbangan juga diserahkan kepada Walikota Banjarmasin, Ibnu Sina.
Wamendag RI, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, dalam sambutannya menekankan pentingnya penerapan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk yang beredar di pasar rakyat.
“Kami berkomitmen untuk terus mendorong penerapan SNI yang memadai, khususnya untuk pasar rakyat. Ini sejalan dengan standar yang ditetapkan oleh Organisasi Perdagangan Dunia (WTO),” ujar Dyah Roro.
Beliau menjelaskan bahwa dengan memenuhi kualifikasi SNI, produk-produk yang dijual di pasar rakyat akan lebih terjamin kualitas dan keamanannya. “SNI Pasar Rakyat ini memiliki dasar hukum yang kuat, yakni Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 34 Tahun 2018,” imbuhnya.
Wamendag juga menyampaikan bahwa peningkatan kualitas produk di pasar rakyat akan berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian nasional.
“Perdagangan merupakan salah satu indikator penting pertumbuhan ekonomi, baik di tingkat daerah maupun nasional. Dengan produk yang berkualitas, kita dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk dalam negeri dan membuka peluang pasar yang lebih luas,” pungkasnya.
Tampak hadir dalam acara tersebut diantaranya Pejabat Eselon 1 dan 2 Kementerian Perdagangan RI beserta jajaran, Plh Gubernur Kalsel diwakili Kepala Dinas Perdagangan, Sulkan, jajaran pimpinan Forkopimda Kalsel dan Kota Banjarmasin, Sekda Kota Banjarmasin dan lainnya. (adpim)
