PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, BANJARMASIN – Kabar menggembirakan datang dari Kalimantan Selatan. Dinas Sosial Kalsel mengungkapkan bahwa sebanyak 962 orang dengan gangguan jiwa (ODGJ) telah dinyatakan sembuh. Namun, bukan berarti perjuangan selesai.
Fakta mengejutkan, lebih dari separuh pasien yang pulih yakni 512 orang berasal dari Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu, daerah yang kini jadi sorotan dalam penanganan masalah kejiwaan.
Meski sudah dinyatakan sehat, para eks-ODGJ ini masih membutuhkan pendampingan intensif, terutama dari keluarga dan lingkungan sekitar.
“Ekonomi sering jadi pemicu. Tapi gaya hidup dan penelantaran keluarga juga masih jadi temuan utama kami,” ungkap Kepala Dinas Sosial Kalsel, Muhammad Farhannie, Senin (15/9/2025).

Dinsos Kalsel tidak tinggal diam. Berbagai program telah digulirkan seperti:
- Rehabilitasi sosial berkelanjutan
- Pembentukan Tim Reaksi Cepat (TRC)
- Kolaborasi dengan Dinas Kesehatan dan RSJ Sambang Lihum
- Pemanfaatan Panti Rehabilitasi Sosial di YPR Banjarbaru
Namun, Farhannie menegaskan bahwa peran keluarga tetap jadi ujung tombak kesembuhan.
“Dukungan moral sangat dibutuhkan. Jangan sampai ODGJ merasa terasingkan,” tegasnya.
Ironisnya, praktik pemasungan masih ditemukan di beberapa wilayah Kalsel sesuatu yang justru bisa memperburuk kondisi penderita.

Farhannie juga mengimbau masyarakat agar tidak tinggal diam jika melihat orang dengan gangguan jiwa di lingkungannya.
“Semakin cepat dilaporkan, semakin cepat kami bisa membantu,” ujarnya.
Meski angka sembuh meningkat, jumlah penderita ODGJ di Kalsel masih memprihatinkan. Data Kementerian Kesehatan RI menyebutkan, sekitar 0,14 persen dari total penduduk Banua mengalami gangguan jiwa.
