PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, MEDAN – Aksi tidak terpuji anggota Satlantas Polrestabes Medan berujung pada sanksi berat. Aiptu RH, oknum polisi lalu lintas yang viral karena melakukan pungutan liar (pungli) kepada seorang pengendara sepeda motor, kini harus menanggung konsekuensi atas perbuatannya.
Video yang beredar di media sosial memperlihatkan Aiptu RH menerima uang sebesar Rp100 ribu dari seorang pengendara di Jalan Palang Merah, Medan Kota. Ironisnya, saat itu ia tidak sedang dalam tugas razia resmi, melainkan dalam perjalanan menuju pengamanan kegiatan masyarakat di kawasan Astaka.
Sebagai respons atas insiden tersebut, Kapolrestabes Medan Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan menyampaikan permintaan maaf kepada masyarakat, khususnya kepada korban yang merupakan seorang ibu.
“Saya menyampaikan permintaan maaf kepada masyarakat Kota Medan, khususnya ibu yang menjadi korban. Saya bertanggung jawab penuh. Jika ada warga yang merasa dirugikan, bisa langsung menghubungi saya,” ujar Gidion dalam konferensi pers, Jumat (27/6/2025).
Aiptu RH diketahui telah dijatuhi hukuman disiplin berupa penempatan khusus (patsus) selama 30 hari. Ia juga terancam dikenai demosi atau pemindahan tugas ke luar daerah.
“Saya akan memberikan hukuman sekeras-kerasnya sesuai tindakan yang dilakukan. Baik terhadap jabatannya, demosi, hingga penempatan khusus di Polrestabes Medan,” tegas Gidion.
Alasan pungli yang disampaikan Aiptu RH pun dinilai tak masuk akal. Ia mengaku melakukan pungutan karena membutuhkan uang untuk sarapan dan minuman. Namun bagi Gidion, dalih itu hanyalah alasan klasik yang tak bisa ditoleransi.
“Alasannya klasik. Tidak bisa menjadi pembenaran. Saya imbau masyarakat untuk tidak memberi ruang terhadap pelanggaran. Jika melihat atau mengalami pelanggaran oleh anggota kami, segera laporkan,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu, Kasi Propam Polrestabes Medan AKP Suharmono membenarkan bahwa pihaknya telah menjatuhkan hukuman fisik kepada Aiptu RH sebagai bagian dari tindakan disiplin.
“Kami berikan sanksi berupa hukuman berguling-guling di atas aspal di dalam Mako Polrestabes. Ini bagian dari upaya menegakkan disiplin dan menjaga marwah institusi Polri,” jelas Suharmono.
Ia juga mengingatkan seluruh personel Polrestabes Medan agar menjunjung tinggi komitmen reformasi Polri.
“Polri harus menjadi pelindung dan pengayom masyarakat. Sekecil apa pun pelanggaran, akan tetap kami tindak,” tegasnya.
Kasus ini kembali membuka mata publik mengenai pentingnya pengawasan ketat terhadap kinerja aparat, demi menjaga kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap institusi kepolisian.
