PUBLIKAINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) belum menetapkan 1 Ramadan 1446 H yang menjadi awal puasa tahun 2025.
Menteri Agama Nazaruddin Umar menyampaikan bahwa kepastian awal Ramadan baru akan diputuskan dalam sidang isbat yang digelar Jumat (28/2/2025).
“Besok kita sidang isbat,” ujar Nazaruddin saat ditemui usai rapat tingkat menteri di Kantor Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan, Jakarta, Kamis (27/2/2025).
Penetapan awal Ramadan ini menjadi perhatian karena terdapat perbedaan prediksi. Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) memperkirakan bahwa 1 Ramadan 1446 H jatuh pada 2 Maret 2025, sementara Muhammadiyah telah menetapkan awal puasa pada 1 Maret 2025.
Menanggapi perbedaan tersebut, Nazaruddin menegaskan bahwa pemerintah akan tetap menggelar sidang isbat dengan mempertimbangkan hasil pemantauan hilal di berbagai daerah di Indonesia.
“Ya semua orang bisa memprediksi. Tapi keputusan tetap ditentukan besok. Kalau ada yang melihat hilal, kenapa harus ditunda? Kalau tidak terlihat, ya baru kita diskusi,” jelasnya.
Dalam menentukan awal Ramadan, Kemenag menggunakan kriteria imkanur rukyat yang disepakati oleh Menteri Agama Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Singapura (MABIMS).
Berdasarkan metode ini, hilal dianggap memenuhi syarat jika ketinggiannya mencapai minimal 3 derajat dengan sudut elongasi 6,4 derajat.
Profesor Riset Astronomi dan Astrofisika dari Pusat Riset Antariksa BRIN, Thomas Djamaluddin, menyebut bahwa hilal yang memenuhi kriteria MABIMS hanya akan terlihat di Aceh, dengan ketinggian bulan sekitar 4,5 derajat dan elongasi 6,4 derajat.
Sementara itu, prediksi BRIN menunjukkan bahwa pada 28 Februari 2025 saat magrib di Surabaya, posisi bulan memiliki tinggi toposentrik 3,7 derajat dengan elongasi geosentrik 5,8 derajat, sehingga belum memenuhi kriteria MABIMS.
Dengan hasil prediksi tersebut, BRIN memperkirakan bahwa 1 Ramadan 1446 H kemungkinan besar akan jatuh pada 2 Maret 2025.
Namun, kepastian penetapan awal puasa tetap menunggu hasil sidang isbat yang akan digelar pemerintah besok.
