PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, KOTABARU – Pemerintah Kabupaten Kotabaru melalui Dinas Kesehatan resmi meluncurkan Program Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis (PKG) bagi anak sekolah, dengan mengusung tema “Kotabaru Hebat, Kita Semua Sehat.”
Program ini sekaligus dibarengi dengan pelaksanaan Pemberian Obat Pencegahan Massal (POPM) Cacingan Tahap II, Rabu (27/8/2025), yang dipusatkan di SDN Dirgahayu 1, 2, dan 6 Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara.
Acara peluncuran dibuka oleh Sekretaris Daerah Kotabaru, Eka Saprudin, mewakili Bupati H. Muhammad Rusli. Turut hadir sejumlah pejabat daerah, di antaranya Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Erwin Simanjuntak, perwakilan Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika, Camat Pulau Laut Utara, para kepala sekolah, tenaga kesehatan, serta ratusan siswa dari tiga sekolah dasar.
Dalam sambutannya, Sekda Eka Saprudin menegaskan bahwa program ini merupakan wujud nyata dukungan Pemkab Kotabaru terhadap arah pembangunan kesehatan nasional, sesuai dengan visi-misi Presiden menuju Indonesia Emas 2045.
“Pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis dilakukan untuk mendeteksi faktor risiko dan penyakit secara dini. Hari ini, kegiatan PKG dan POPM dilaksanakan serentak di seluruh Kabupaten Kotabaru,” ujarnya.
13 Jenis Pemeriksaan Gratis untuk Anak dan Remaja
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kotabaru, Erwin Simanjuntak, menjelaskan bahwa PKG merupakan program baru yang menyasar anak dan remaja usia 7–17 tahun. Program ini mencakup 13 hingga 15 jenis pemeriksaan, antara lain status gizi, tekanan darah, gula darah, kesehatan mata, gigi, telinga, serta kesehatan reproduksi.
“Melalui PKG di sekolah, kita ingin mendorong kesadaran anak sejak dini akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan, agar mereka tumbuh menjadi generasi yang sehat, cerdas, dan berprestasi,” katanya.
Fokus pada Pencegahan Cacingan
Selain PKG, Pemkab Kotabaru juga menjalankan program nasional Pemberian Obat Pencegahan Massal (POPM) kecacingan bagi anak usia 1–12 tahun. Program ini dilakukan dua kali dalam setahun.
“Tahap pertama sudah dilakukan Februari lalu, dan tahap kedua berlangsung mulai Agustus hingga September. Tahun ini, kami menargetkan pemberian obat kepada 61.667 anak. Sementara itu, target cakupan provinsi ditetapkan minimal 85%,” ungkap Erwin.
Program ini menjadi penting mengingat masih tingginya prevalensi kasus cacingan di kalangan anak-anak, yang dapat berdampak negatif pada tumbuh kembang serta konsentrasi belajar.
Dengan adanya dua program ini, Pemerintah Kabupaten Kotabaru berharap kualitas kesehatan anak-anak dapat meningkat, sebagai fondasi untuk mencetak generasi masa depan yang lebih sehat dan unggul.
