PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, JAKARTA – Timnas Indonesia akan menghadapi laga penting melawan China dalam lanjutan Grup C Babak Ketiga Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 zona Asia. Pertandingan akan digelar di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK), Kamis, 5 Juni 2025.
Menjelang pertandingan ini, Ketua Umum PSSI Erick Thohir mengingatkan para suporter untuk menjaga sportivitas dan menolak segala bentuk rasisme serta diskriminasi.
Erick mengimbau agar para pendukung Tim Garuda memberikan dukungan yang positif dan menjadi tuan rumah yang baik. Ia menekankan pentingnya menjunjung nilai-nilai fair play, terlebih setelah Indonesia sempat mendapat sorotan dari FIFA akibat perilaku tidak pantas di laga sebelumnya.
“Kita harus menjadi tuan rumah yang baik. Jika sebelumnya kita bisa menyambut suporter Arab Saudi, Jepang, Australia, dan Bahrain dengan baik, maka kita juga harus menyambut suporter China dengan sikap serupa,” ujar Erick dalam rilis resmi yang diterima media, Senin (2/6/2025).
Ia juga mengingatkan bahwa FIFA pernah menjatuhi sanksi kepada Indonesia akibat aksi diskriminatif dari suporter saat melawan Bahrain. Saat itu, FIFA menjatuhkan denda sebesar Rp400 juta dan memberlakukan pembatasan jumlah penonton untuk pertandingan kontra China.
“FIFA pernah menegur kita karena aksi diskriminasi seperti rasisme dan xenofobia. Saya sudah berkali-kali menyampaikan bahwa sepak bola tidak boleh mengandung diskriminasi, baik saat melawan tim asing, antar klub di liga, maupun sesama anak bangsa,” tegasnya.
Diperkirakan sekitar 3.000 suporter China akan hadir langsung di SUGBK. Erick berharap Indonesia bisa menunjukkan keramahan dan sikap dewasa sebagai tuan rumah.
“Kehadiran suporter lawan harus kita sambut dengan baik. Ini juga bagian dari citra bangsa dan kemajuan sepak bola kita di mata internasional,” tambahnya.
Pertandingan melawan China menjadi krusial bagi langkah Timnas Indonesia menuju Piala Dunia 2026. Namun, Erick menegaskan bahwa kemenangan di lapangan harus diiringi dengan kedewasaan dan integritas di tribun penonton.
