PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, KOTABARU – Aksi pencurian kotak amal di beberapa masjid di Kabupaten Kotabaru akhirnya terbongkar. Seorang pemuda berinisial AS (20) berhasil ditangkap polisi setelah terekam kamera CCTV saat beraksi di Masjid Baiturrahman dan Masjid Miftahul Jannah, dua rumah ibadah yang jadi sasaran pencurian di bulan Juli dan Agustus 2025.
Tak tanggung-tanggung, kotak amal dari besi, kaca, hingga aluminium jadi incaran pelaku, yang nekat beraksi demi memenuhi kebutuhan untuk membeli obat-obatan terlarang, berjudi online, dan keperluan pribadi.
🕵️ Rekaman CCTV Buka Jalan Penangkapan
Unit Jatanras Satreskrim Polres Kotabaru mengungkap, AS telah melakukan setidaknya tiga aksi pencurian, dua di antaranya di rumah ibadah dan satu di sebuah kios.
Dalam aksinya, pelaku menggunakan alat bantu seperti kunci L, obeng, dan sepeda motor untuk mendatangi lokasi sasaran.
- 12 Juli 2025, AS mencuri di Masjid Baiturrahman saat waktu salat Zuhur, berhasil membawa kabur uang sebesar Rp150.000.
- 18 Juli 2025, ia beraksi lagi di Masjid Miftahul Jannah, dengan modus yang sama dan berhasil mencuri Rp85.000.
- Agustus 2025, ia kepergok saat mencoba mencuri kotak amal di sebuah kios di Desa Stagen.
Dari hasil penyelidikan dan rekaman CCTV, pelaku akhirnya berhasil ditangkap dan langsung mengakui semua perbuatannya.
“Tersangka mengaku memakai uang hasil curian untuk membeli obat-obatan terlarang, bermain judi online, dan kebutuhan pribadi,” tulis keterangan pihak kepolisian.
🧾 Barang Bukti & Ancaman Hukuman
Polisi berhasil menyita sejumlah barang bukti antara lain:
- Tiga kotak amal dari besi, kaca, dan aluminium
- Dua unit sepeda motor
- Dua rekaman CCTV masjid
- Kunci L, obeng, dan jaket hitam yang digunakan dalam aksi
AS kini dijerat dengan Pasal 363 ayat (1) ke-5 KUHP Jo Pasal 64 KUHP tentang pencurian dengan pemberatan dan perbuatan berlanjut, dengan ancaman hukuman penjara hingga 7 tahun.
