PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, KOTABARU – Ribuan warga tumpah ruah di sepanjang jalan utama Kotabaru, Minggu (18/8/2025), untuk menyaksikan kemeriahan Karnaval Kemerdekaan dalam rangka memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-80 Republik Indonesia. Tahun ini, Pemerintah Kabupaten Kotabaru menghadirkan suasana berbeda lewat konsep tempo dulu yang kental dengan nilai-nilai sejarah dan perjuangan.
Tak seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, karnaval kali ini menjadi ajang nostalgia kolektif. Mulai dari pelajar SD hingga perguruan tinggi, Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD), hingga Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD), menampilkan kostum dan atraksi bertema perjuangan, lengkap dengan properti khas zaman penjajahan.
Replika bambu runcing, meriam, parang, pedang, hingga kendaraan perang ala era kemerdekaan tampak menghiasi barisan peserta. Bahkan, kelompok pemuda yang mengenakan busana tahun 80-an seperti celana cutbray dan kemeja bermotif mencolok turut meramaikan suasana dengan aksi joget tempo dulu yang mengundang gelak tawa penonton.
Salah satu yang menarik perhatian adalah rombongan dari Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kotabaru yang tampil dengan sepeda ontel dan busana ala tokoh pejuang nasional Dr. Ernest Douwes Dekker. Kepala Diskominfo tampil total mengenakan pakaian khas tokoh yang juga dikenal dengan nama Danudirja Setiabudi itu, menambah nuansa historis yang kuat.
Di tengah panasnya terik matahari, antusiasme warga tak surut. Penonton tampak antusias mengabadikan setiap momen, dari atraksi hingga kostum unik para peserta.
“Banyak penampilan yang menggambarkan perjuangan para pahlawan kita. Selain itu, tadi juga ada pakaian dan atribut dari era 80-an yang bikin nostalgia,” ujar Hakim, salah satu warga yang hadir bersama keluarganya.
Karnaval ini bukan sekadar hiburan, tapi juga menjadi media edukasi dan refleksi atas perjuangan para pahlawan. Pemerintah Kabupaten Kotabaru berharap, melalui kegiatan ini semangat nasionalisme dan kecintaan terhadap tanah air terus tumbuh di tengah masyarakat.
