PUBLIKAINDONESIA.COM, BANJARBARU – Dinas Pendidikan Kota Banjarbaru kembali menegaskan larangan penyelenggaraan acara perpisahan atau wisuda sekolah yang bersifat berlebihan dan membebani orang tua siswa.
Kebijakan ini ditegaskan agar tidak ada praktik perpisahan yang menuntut biaya tinggi dari para wali murid.
Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Banjarbaru, Dedy Sutoyo, menyampaikan bahwa larangan ini telah diberlakukan sejak dua tahun terakhir, menyusul hasil survei yang menunjukkan banyaknya keluhan dari masyarakat.
“Larangan ini berdasarkan hasil survei kami ke masyarakat. Rata-rata mereka merasa terbebani dengan biaya perpisahan. Padahal anak-anak masih harus melanjutkan sekolah, yang juga membutuhkan biaya tidak sedikit,” ujar Dedy, Senin (5/5/2025).
Dedy menambahkan, kegiatan perpisahan tidak tercantum dalam kalender akademik, sehingga pelaksanaannya bukanlah suatu kewajiban.
Jika pun ingin tetap dilaksanakan, pihak sekolah diimbau untuk melakukannya secara sederhana dan tanpa membebani siswa maupun orang tua.
“Kami sarankan bentuknya cukup seperti makan bersama di sekolah dengan membawa bekal dari rumah. Tujuannya tetap tercapai tanpa mengorbankan kondisi ekonomi keluarga,” jelasnya.
Disdik Banjarbaru juga mendorong agar dana yang terkumpul dari siswa lebih diarahkan untuk hal-hal yang bermanfaat dan berkelanjutan, seperti pembuatan kenang-kenangan berupa fasilitas sekolah.
“Kalau ada dana yang terkumpul, kami arahkan agar bisa menjadi kenang-kenangan alumni yang bermanfaat, seperti pembangunan WC atau fasilitas sekolah lainnya,” tambah Dedy.
Jika ada sekolah yang kedapatan tetap menggelar acara perpisahan mewah, pihak Disdik akan memanggil untuk dilakukan pembinaan.
“Alhamdulillah, selama dua tahun ini pihak sekolah dan komite sudah memahami kebijakan tersebut. Kami sudah jarang mendengar ada yang mengadakan perpisahan mewah,” tutupnya.
