Menariknya, di balik julukan kabupaten sunyi ini, terdapat sosok pemimpin yang juga dijuluki bupati termiskin di Kalimantan Selatan, yakni H. Yamani. Meski tetap berstatus miliarder, jumlah kekayaannya adalah yang paling kecil jika dibandingkan dengan kepala daerah lainnya di provinsi ini.

Kekayaan bersih sebesar Rp4,7 miliar ini memang jauh di bawah rata-rata kekayaan kepala daerah lainnya di Kalimantan Selatan, yang biasanya mencapai puluhan bahkan ratusan miliar rupiah.

Meskipun termasuk dalam daftar daerah tersepi dan dipimpin oleh pemimpin dengan kekayaan paling rendah, Kabupaten Tapin tetap menunjukkan karakter kuat sebagai wilayah yang damai, bersahaja, dan memiliki potensi sumber daya alam serta budaya yang kaya.
